Full Term..... Kind of

Today I hit 37 weeks! Let's yell a huge HALLE FREAKIN LUJAH please!

I feel like I have been pregnant forever. Seriously though. I don't remember what it's like to not have another human inside of me.

We are so excited to meet our sweet little Marlee Mae (and yes that's her name!). At my appointment this week she had a super strong heartbeat, but unfortunately hasn't dropped yet. In the words of my doctor, "she hasn't even dropped one bit". I guess she just loves my ribs? Then when my doctor measured my belly and felt around, she said that she couldn't quite tell if it was her head or butt by my belly button. Fingers crossed it was her butt and her head is still pointing down! I get the feeling this girl might just be as stubborn as her mother.....

In all honesty here, the 3rd trimester is my favorite, but also my least favorite. Is that even possible? I absolutely LOVE how much we can see her move inside of me. About a week ago, Phil finally was able to see her elbow move across my belly and he jumped off the couch and yelled, "DID YOU SEE THAT?!?" Hahaha it was super sweet! She also loves to push her foot into my right side. How she manages to even reach that far into my side is beyond me. I have been blessed with an unborn babe that sleeps at night. It's sooooo nice. I only wake up once to pee and she'll readjust and then go back to sleep also. Praying she does that outside the womb.

I have been oh so blessed with pregnancy carpal tunnel. It is so much fun. Can you sense the sarcasm in my voice? It sucks. It happened when I was around 34/35 weeks and has no signs of leaving before I give birth. I was waking up in the night with my hands being so big and swollen that there was no space in between my fingers! And it hurt like crazy with this tingling/numbing sensation. So now I get to wear my lovely wrist braces at night (this really only happens when I sleep at night). The swelling went down, but my fingers were still going numb. Thanks to the advice from my sweet old lady friend in Relief Society, we made me these cardboard pieces to keep my fingers straight. She said that should help with the numbness and it worked!

I haven't been working this last month so I have been diving a lot into sewing stuff and doing fun little projects. I found this cute baby dress and it was sooooo easy to make!

Now I've made 3 more...... What? Hahaha she has no dresses in this size!

Like I said, we are so beyond excited to meet her. She has the cutest chubby face and beyond luscious lips I can't get over it. Thinking about birth really scares me sometimes. I think that knowing how painful it will be scares me, but then if I just keep in mind that I'll FINALLY have my baby and that for sure trumps the feelings of being so scared.

Well! Here's to hoping Marlee comes by May 4th! :)
